Audio Designer: Roy Coopervasser
Roy is a New-York-based film, TV and video game composer, producer and mixing engineer. He is the co-founder of 7Grain Music – an international music production boutique specializing in customized, innovative and eclectic electro-acoustic music for film, TV and multimedia productions. As a composer and a post-production engineer he has done work for NBC, Discovery Channel, BET and PBS. As a producer Roy collaborated with acclaimed musicians Maurice Brown (trumpet: Aretha Franklin, Talib Kweli, Roy Hargrove), Becca Stevens (lead vocalist: Travis Sullivan’s Bjorkestra, Becca Stevens band), Nate Jones (Bass: Trey Songz, Lyfe Jennings, Wyclef Jean) and Chris Rob (Keyboards: John Legend, Kanye West). Roy’s Electro-Pop n’ Roll project, Unemployed in Greenland, will release its first full-length album in the fall of 2010 under Frankfurt-based label ‘Essay Recordings’. Roy graduated with honors in Music and Audio Technology from the Sonic Arts Center at CCNY and has been teaching at the program as an adjunct professor since 2008.
