Primary Research Team Member: Azadeh Jamalian
Azadeh Jamalian is a PH.D student in Cognitive Studies in Education program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a member of the EGGPLANT game research laboratory and Sociable Technology and Learning Lab at Teachers College. Azadeh is one of the primary designers and researchers for the Lit game project, with a focus on emotional and cognitive responses to game play. Her larger research interests include game design, creativity, visual explanation, spatial thinking, and learning. She has received a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her masters project was about Boogie Bash- a pattern recognition mobile game for preschoolers, which was chosen as one of the top 10 projects in The Cooney Center Prizes for Innovation in Children’s Learning. Azadeh has a bachelor of applied sciences in Systems Engineering and a certificate in Liberal Arts from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada. In her free time, she plays games, cooks delicious food, and reads interesting books.
